Furr Studio

Buffalo Ranch, Concord, NC

Many Cabarrus County residents fondly remember the Cabarrus Creamery’s location on North Church Street in Concord—but fewer will recall the Furr (Photography) Studio that was originally next door. After years of sharing limited parking access with the Studio, the Robert L. Burrage, owner of the Creamery, purchased the neighboring building and adjacent lot in 1956 and 1957. By the end of the 1950s, a paved parking lot was built for exclusive Creamery use. (Courtesy of Robert E. Burrage.)
